Consultation has concluded
The NSW Government has committed $200 million over the next two years to support NSW regional communities to improve the lives of residents and enhance the places we live and work in. The Stronger Country Communities Fund is calling for applications from local government to support local infrastructure projects.
$100 million will be available through the first round of funding and the NSW Government will support projects that involve:
Building new community facilities (such as parks, playgrounds, walking and cycling paths)
Refurbish existing local facilities (such as community centres and libraries)
Enhancing local parks and the supporting facilities (such as kitchens and toilet blocks)
To make sure our region takes advantage of this wonderful opportunity Council needs your input to ensure our applications support our communities priorities.
A short survey is included and lists a number of initiatives council has identified as future infrastructure projects that align with the community's aspirations in the Armidale Regional Council Community Strategic Plan 2017-2027.
Council is also keen to hear the community's views on other infrastructure projects that would improve the lives of residents and enhance our region for future generations to enjoy.
The consultation period closes on Monday 11 September 2017.
