Consultation has concluded
At the ordinary meeting of 26 July 2017, Armidale Regional Council approved the Draft Economic Development Strategy for Public Exhibition for 28 days from 12 noon 26 July 2017 to 12 noon 22 August 2017.
Following the merger that created Armidale Regional Council, the Regional Growth Advisory Committee was given the task of delivering a new Economic Development Strategy.
This Strategy will provide a blueprint for enhancing the vibrancy and sustainability of the local economy and its influence on the liveability of the new local government area as a whole. At the same time, it will foster prosperity and contribute to the wellbeing of all our workers, visitors and residents.
The Strategy draws on the three pillars of the Armidale Region’s Economy – agri-business, education and tourism. It will provide directions for economic development over the next eight years.
The community is invited to make submissions in regard to the Strategy which is now on public exhibition.
Submissions can be made via email to council@armidale.nsw.gov.au or mailed to PO Box 75A, Armidale NSW 2350, or delivered to one of our Customer Service Centres at 135 Rusden Street, Armidale or 158 Bradley Street, Guyra. Hard copies are also available for view at the Customer Service Centres.
