On 26 June 2019, Council adopted its Schedule of Fees and Charges 2019-2020.

Council proposes to amend its fees to include a Water Access Card Administration Fee. The proposed fee is set out below:

Per Card

To be eligible to be issued with a card, Council residents on rural properties must meet the following criteria:
The property must be within the Armidale Regional Council local government area;
The property must not be connected to the potable water reticulation network; and
The property must have an approved, occupied, residential dwelling.
Council may require proof of the above eligibility criteria.
The card must be prepaid in order to be used at a water filling station. Armidale Regional Council will determine monthly limits on the volume of water that can be purchased per card.
This fee is only for the purchase of the access card and water usage charges are additional at the applicable rate.

The proposed Fees and Charges will be on public exhibition from Friday 25 2019 until Monday 25 November 2019.

Residents are invited to make submissions by;

  • mail to Armidale Regional Council, 75A Rusden Street, Armidale 2350,
  • email to council@armidale.nsw.gov.au, or
  • dropped off in person to the Armidale or Guyra Offices.

Submissions will close on Monday 25 November 2019 at 9am. Public submissions will be treated as non-confidential unless the submitter specifically requests confidentiality. Submitters are also allowed to have their submissions treated as non-confidential, except for the name of the submitter, or other identifying material. Please include the heading ‘2019-2020 Fees and Charges - Water Access Card Administration Fee’ in any correspondence.

Please be aware that if you make a submission, other people may have access to your comments. This may be as a result of a report to a Council meeting or as part of an application under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009.
