Consultation has concluded

Councillors sitting at their seats in the Armidale Council Chambers.

The policy provides a framework for councillors in exercising their civic duties by specifically addressing their ability to interact and receive advice from authorised staff. This policy supports the provisions of the Code of Conduct and forms a central part of Council’s Code of Conduct Framework.

Council’s Ordinary Meeting on 23 October 2019 resolved to put the draft Councillor & Staff Interaction Policy on public exhibition for a period of 28 days. The document will be on public exhibition from Wednesday 30 October to Wednesday 27 November 2019.

Residents are invited to make submissions by;

  • mail to Armidale Regional Council, 75A Rusden Street, Armidale 2350,
  • email to council@armidale.nsw.gov.au, or
  • dropped off in person to the Armidale or Guyra Offices.

Submissions will be received for 28 days and will close on Wednesday 27 November 2019 at 5pm. Public submissions will be treated as non-confidential unless the submitter specifically requests confidentiality. Submitters are also allowed to have their submissions treated as non-confidential, except for the name of the submitter, or other identifying material.
