Draft Work Health and Safety Policy
At the Ordinary Council Meeting held on Wednesday 26 February 2025 the Council endorsed the draft Work Health and Safety Policy 2025 for placing on public exhibition for a period of 28 days from Monday 10 March to Sunday 6 April 2025.
RESOLVED
That Council;
a. Endorse the draft WHS Policy and place it on public exhibition for a period no less than 28 days.
b. Authorise the adoption of the draft WHS Policy in the event that no submissions are received, and no changes are made to the draft policy.
c. Review the policy within two years of the date of adoption.
Armidale Regional Council is committed to ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of all individuals involved in our operations. Commitment to Work Health and Safety (WHS) is integral to councils’ organisational philosophy and values.
Council recognise that the health and safety of employees, contractors, visitors, and communities is essential to its success. This policy outlines Armidale Regional Council’s commitment to health and safety and ensures commitment to safety is reflected in every aspect of our operations
This policy will be reviewed every 2 years or when changes to the workplace, legislation or industry standards make review necessary.

Submissions must be received by 11.59pm Sunday 6 April 2025.
