Consultation has concluded
At the Ordinary Council Meeting held on Wednesday 27 February Council resolved to place the Draft Investment Policy on Public Exhibition for 28 days from Friday 1 March to Thursday 28 March 2019.
Council has updated its Investment Policy to provide a framework for investment of Council’s funds having regard to the safety of both principal and accrued interest.
The Office of Local Government Investment Policy Guidelines require councils to review their policies at least on an annual basis (para 3.11). The last formal review of the Armidale Regional Council Investment Policy was in July 2016. An independent review of the current investment policy was undertaken with several recommendations made. Proposed amendments have been made to the Draft Investment Policy to be adopted by Council.
The draft policy is on Public Exhibition from Friday 1 March to Thursday 28 March.
The community are invited to make submissions by mail to Armidale Regional Council, 75A Rusden Street, Armidale 2350, by email to council@armidale.nsw.gov.au or dropped off in person to the Armidale or Guyra Offices. Submissions close Thursday 28 March 2019 at 5pm.
