Seeking feedback

The project team is seeking feedback on the size and type of vehicles used by stakeholders who live on the Kempsey to Armidale Road Restoration Project including its side road connections and those who lease land on the project. For example: cattle trucks, log trucks, personal vehicles and vehicles delivering to or servicing properties.

This information is important and will provide a better understanding of traffic movement requirements as design is progressed.

The road is closed to the general public with the only exception being local residents of the road for essential travel and essential and emergency services or stakeholders who lease land on the project.

The road currently has a weight limit restriction of 10 tonne gross vehicle mass (gvm) with the exception of inducted and authorised access for residents of the road under managed conditions which allows vehicles with weights up to 20 tonne gvm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

More information can be found under ‘Forms’ on the project website at: https://www.karrp.com.au/ The road also has a current length limit of 12.5 metres.

Your feedback is important, especially if you live within the project boundaries or along Kempsey Road and its side road connections.

To provide feedback, click on the "TAKE SURVEY" button below. You can only take the survey once.

The survey will be open from 12:00 noon Monday 25 November 2024 and will close off at 8:00 pm Tuesday 17 December 2024.

Submissions are invited and must be addressed to the General Manager, Armidale Regional Council, PO Box 75A, Armidale, NSW 2350, or sent by email to k2aproject@armidale.nsw.gov.au and marked 'K2A: current vehicle sizing requirements'.

Submissions must be received by Tuesday 17 December 2024.

Please be aware that if you make a submission, other people may have access to your comments. This may be as a result of a report to a Council meeting or as part of an application under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009. Also, under State legislation, any person making a submission on a Draft LEP amendment must also disclose whether they or an ‘associate’ have made a ‘reportable political donation’ or gift to a local Councillor or Council employee within the period commencing two years before any submission is made and ending when the Draft LEP is determined. Further details including disclosure forms are available on request from Council.

Disclaimer: The information you provide in the survey, will be dealt with in strictest confidence in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy principles.
