In accordance with the conditions of the Gateway Determination received from the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, Council gives notice of the public exhibition of a Planning Proposal for Draft Amendment No 24 to Armidale Regional Local Environmental Plan (ARLEP) 2012.
The intended outcome of the Planning Proposal is to amend the Armidale Regional Local Environmental Plan to alter the minimum lot size on part Lot 200 DP 1277689, 90 Kurrawatha Avenue, Armidale from 1 and 4 hectares to 4,000 and 6,000 sqm. Council as the Planning Proposal Authority (PPA) is authorised to exercise the function of the Local Plan-Making Authority under section 3.36(2) of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, in accordance with the Gateway Determination issued on 5 June 2024.
The Planning Proposal and supporting documentation will be on public exhibition from Thursday 6 June 2024 to COB Thursday 4 July 2024.
Submissionsare invited and must be addressed to the General Manager, Armidale Regional Council, PO Box 75A, Armidale, NSW 2350, or sent by email to council@armidale.nsw.gov.au.
Submissions must be received by Council no later than 5.00 pm on Thursday 4 July 2024.

Please be aware that if you make a submission, other people may have access to your comments. This may be as a result of a report to a Council meeting or as part of an application under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009. Also, under State legislation, any person making a submission on a Draft LEP amendment must also disclose whether they or an ‘associate’ have made a ‘reportable political donation’ or gift to a local Councillor or Council employee within the period commencing two years before any submission is made and ending when the Draft LEP is determined. Further details including disclosure forms are available on request from Council.
