ABOUT THE WELL-BEING CENTRE
The topic of Well-being sparked up in a conversation with ASC trainees just after the COVID-19 lock down period in September 2020. In this conversation the workplace trainees highlighted a recent event on the school calendar, being the R U OK day. Soon after, the trainees came to a conclusion that having a day off school work was not helping them gather their personal understanding of their well-being nor helping their specific well-being situations improve. Armidale Secondary College school based trainees are studying workplace innovation as a subject area in their leaning area at school and ARC recently defined one of their new core values as being Well-being.
This was the perfect action step and alignment in investigating the Wellbeing Value at ARC and the employee understanding of it's organisational well-being status. The Well-being Center is an innovation idea coming to life at ARC with the support of the leadership team.
The Well-being Center is a starting point for all ARC employees to access for those that are simply curious or may want to explore more fully what Well being is and could be to you. The site contains information, tools and resources on a range of well being scenarios as well as some tools to trial and keep you at your best. If you have some well-being issues impacting you, your life, family or friends then we've made start in the ocean to seeking out options in a topic area of well-being interest aiming to support you, your family and colleagues.
