Overview

Armidale Regional Council is planning for the longterm future of water and wastewater services across our region.

Over the next 30 years, we are looking at the infrastructure investments needed to provide safe, secure, sustainable, and affordable water and sewerage services for healthy and resilient communities, businesses, and the environment, now and into the future. This long-term plan is called our Integrated Water Cycle Management, or IWCM, Strategy and we invite you to be part of this important conversation.

Delivering this infrastructure requires careful planning and investment. Your input will help Council understand community priorities and ensure that decisions are informed, balanced, and transparent.

This will help Council understand:

  • Community views on service levels and infrastructure investment

  • Ensure community values are reflected in longterm water planning

  • Balance affordability with longterm reliability and resilience

  • Inform future pricing decisions and funding strategies

  • Assist with our ongoing advocacy to State and Federal Governments for funding support

These projects are essential to secure our water supply now and into the future and are essential to support population growth, climate resilience, public health, and environmental protection.

You are invited to participate in the consultation through:

  • Completing a survey on levels of service and their perceived value

  • Attending information sessions (where available)

  • Reviewing project information and providing feedback

Council recognises that water and wastewater services are essential to daily life, community wellbeing, and the longterm prosperity of the Armidale region. By sharing your views, you are helping shape decisions that will affect our community for generations to come.
