Armidale Regional Council is developing a Destination Management Plan (DMP) for the Armidale Region, including towns, villages and natural areas across the area. This plan will guide the future growth of the visitor economy, support targeted investment, and help identify opportunities that build on our strengths while addressing challenges to sustainable tourism development.

To shape this plan, we are engaging with our community, tourism industry, and stakeholders.

We’re collecting insights, data, stories and experiences from locals, business owners, community groups, tourism operators and visitors to inform the DMP. These inputs will guide future decision-making, project development and how our region is positioned as a destination.

TRC Tourism, a leading tourism consultancy, has been engaged by Armidale Regional Council to lead the development of this plan. TRC brings extensive experience in regional tourism planning, product development, and community engagement across Australia and New Zealand.
